Course Overview

The T Level in Media, Broadcast, and Production is a dynamic two-year program designed for students passionate about pursuing a career in the media industry. Equivalent to three A Levels, this course combines in-depth classroom learning with practical industry experience, ensuring you gain the skills and knowledge required to excel in this fast-paced sector.

 

What You'll Learn

Throughout the course, you'll explore a comprehensive curriculum that covers:

  • Core Content:Understanding the media, broadcast, and production industry, including its standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.

  • Developing essential skills in research, project management, and creative development.

  • Gaining insights into audience demographics, media law, and ethical considerations.

Specialist Modules:

  • Planning and delivering content for various platforms such as television, radio, and online media.

Industry Placement

A key component of the T Level is the substantial industry placement, lasting at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days). This placement provides hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom learning in real-world settings, develop professional connections, and gain valuable insights into the media industry's operations.

Assessment

Your progress will be evaluated through a combination of written examinations, practical projects, and an employer-set project. These assessments are designed to test your understanding of theoretical concepts and your ability to apply them in practical scenarios.
