What is a T Level?

T Levels are new, two-year technical qualifications that combine classroom learning with hands-on industry experience. They are equivalent to three A Levels and provide a direct route into skilled employment, higher apprenticeships, or university.

About the Course

Our T Level in Engineering focuses on the Design & Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Pathway, preparing students for careers in areas such as product design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and more. The course covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Engineering principles and design processes

  • Materials science and manufacturing techniques

  • Computer-aided design (CAD) and prototyping

  • Problem-solving and project management

  • Quality assurance and control

Industry Placement

A key feature of the T Level is the 45-day industry placement, where students gain real-world experience working with leading employers in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. This invaluable exposure helps students build professional networks, develop workplace skills, and apply their learning in a practical setting.
